- Rationale
- Cluster of naive (antigen-inexperienced) CD4+ T cells that expresses canonical markers of T cells (CD3D, CD3E,), markers of homing into the T cell zone of secondary lymphoid organs (CCR7), and markers typical of naive T cells (SELL, LEF1, NOSIP). At the protein level, these cells expressed CD45RA.
This cluster has a very similar gene expression profile to naive CD4 T cell. While CD4 transcripts are usually not detected in scRNA-seq data, both CD8A and CD8B are detectable and used to differentiate both cell types.
