Rationale

ADGRL4 (ELTD1) is an adhesion G protein–coupled receptor selectively expressed in vascular endothelial cells and is associated with angiogenic activity. MECOM is enriched in endothelial populations and has been implicated in endothelial cell identity and vascular development. MECOM and ADGRL4 support the identification of endothelial cells and help distinguish them from surrounding stromal and parenchymal cell types.
