Rationale
- NCR1 (NKp46) and NCAM1 (CD56) confirm NK cell lineage identity. GNLY (granulysin), PRF1 (perforin-1), and KLRD1 (CD94) reflect cytotoxic capacity broadly shared across NK cell populations. FCGR3A (CD16) defines the CD16⁺ subset and is involved in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. FGFBP2 and KLRF1 show enriched expression in this mature cytotoxic NK cell subset in adipose tissue single-cell datasets. Together these markers identify CD56⁺CD16⁺ NK cells and distinguish them from CD16⁻ NK cell populations.
