This dataset provides high-resolution annotations and sub-clustering of Schwann cells from the human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE)/choroid complex—a tissue essential for the survival and function of the neural retina. By analyzing 61,751 nuclei across 53 donors, we resolved three choroidal melanocyte types/states.
