Gene Filtering

CAP automatically filters out genes which are often over-expressed but biologically non-informative. The following genes are filtered out when reporting differentially expressed genes displayed on the heatmap:

• Mitochondrial genes and pseudogenes
• Ribosomal genes and pseudogenes
• Long non-coding RNA
• TCR genes with exceptions for: TRAV1-2, TRGV9, TRDV2
• BCR genes
